Entry-Master Card Access Control Security Systems with CCTV and Alarm Monitoring Integrates with Johns Hopkins J-Card Application to Facilitate Campus-Wide Security and Vending System

Baltimore security company maintains robust card access system for world-class university

BALTIMORE, MD, September 8, 2012 -- /24-7PressRelease/ -- Entry-Master LLC announced the successful project completion allowing Johns Hopkins J-Card mobile app to interface with the Entry Master security management system, giving JHU administration and student population of the Homewood campus the ability to communicate across systems.

The J-Card is the official identification and access card for students, faculty and staff at the Johns Hopkins University's Homewood campus. J-Cash is a prepaid, stored-value account that is a convenient, cashless way to pay for purchases on and off campus, pay for school supplies, and gain access to secured facilities like a dorm. The JHU programmers developed a mobile app that allows card holders to control their cards remotely. If a student were to lose their J-Card they can use the mobile app to automatically "freeze" their account. This would keep the finder of that "lost" card from making unauthorized purchases and from gaining access to secured facilities. If the student finds the "lost" card the same mobile app can then reactivate the card.

"Entry-Master has provided security card access for JHU for over 20 years," said Kevin Baker, President of Entry-Master, LLC. "Our team worked with JHU IT engineers to quickly create an interface with their mobile app. We are keenly aware of the magnitude of providing critical security services for a world-class university," continued Baker. "We strive to provide excellent services to all of our clients, and we are very happy to announce the successful project with Johns Hopkins University."

Entry-Master Secures New Western Operations Center in Hagarstown, Maryland for the Maryland State Police

Security company in Baltimore continues to provide state-of-the-art access control for state government agency

- Baltimore, MD - June, 2012 - When the new Western Operations Center (WOC) opened on April 23, 2012, it did so under the protection and surveillance provided by the Entry-Master Security Management System. The WOC system is part of a state-wide monitoring and control superstructure, headquartered at the state-of-the-art Forensics Laboratory in Pikesville, Maryland.

"The system at Hagarstown is partitioned to allow the Barrack, the Forensics Lab, the Fire Marshall's Office, and the MSP I/T Department share the facility and its common doors and cameras," said Kevin Baker, President of Entry-Master, LLC. "At the same time," continued Baker, "this system provides separation of monitoring, access, and control for each entity occupying the facility."

"As Director of the Facility Management Division, I would like to thank Entry-Master for the state of the art security, CCTV and card access system installed at the Maryland State Police Western Operations Center in Hagerstown," said David Manning, Director of Facilities for the Maryland State Police. "This is our seventh installation for the State Police with the Entry-Master security system. We are moving towards a single department-wide security and access control system."

Web-based Parking Lot Security Meets Web-based CCTV and Card Access Control - ParkingSOFT and Entry-Master Systems Announce Integration of Parking and CCTV Products

Card access control and CCTV surveillance joined with parking lot security services

- Baltimore, MD and Atlanta, GA - December, 2009 - ParkingSOFT announced today that it will be integrating its web-based parking security and revenue control system with the web-based Entry-Master Systems Security Management System.

"ParkingSOFT was the first to develop a truly web-based revenue management system which is built around a frequent parker model and employs a point system to track discounts and upgrades," said Jeff Oldknow, CEO of ParkingSOFT. "Customers register and maintain their account and manage their benefits on-line, cutting administrative costs and errors."

"It seemed appropriate to integrate a web-based parking lot security and revenue control system with our web-based card access control system," said Kevin Baker, CEO of Entry-Master Systems. "ParkingSOFT has pioneered in parking what EMS did with access control: one-click control through a standard web browser. No client software to load, no hassles."

ParkingSOFT plans to unveil the integrated parking and video solution at the May 2010 IPI show in Las Vegas. "Once parking operators see how easy it is to view the CCTV recorded video associated with a transaction, and that they can view it from anywhere, they realize how powerful a management tool this system can be," said Oldknow.

Entry-Master Systems Installs Integrated Card Access System for Helion Technologies

- Baltimore, MD - August, 2009 - Entry-Master Systems, Inc. announced the completion of an integrated security system at Helion's new $3.5M headquarters building in Towson, Maryland.

"We had already purchased our own cameras," said Helion's President Erik Nachbahr, "but when we found out they could be integrated into the Entry-Master system, our management team decided pretty quickly that was the way to go. The Entry-Master system is Web-based and allows us to review card access and camera transactions seamlessly through Internet Explorer."

Once a card transaction or door event is recalled, simply clicking on the camera icon within the Entry-Master software application retrieves the stored video clip. "The software is elegantly simple," said Kevin Baker, CEO of Entry-Master Systems. "When customers need to review a clip, they want to view it 'right now', not after spending valuable time trying to find the clip in a video database."

The system is also setup to text-message key managers when unusual activity occurs, such as a door being propped open or someone trying to enter a restricted area. "Training on the system was a breeze," said Nachbahr. "Now we can monitor and control our facility from anywhere."
